This is a Night Shift position on the “D” shift . (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off) Hours are from 6:48 p.m. to 6:48 a.m.

Valid Journeyman's License is required.

JOB SUMMARY

Frequently works independently under minimal supervision to perform extremely complex tasks including the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment and building.

Electrician Maintenance ‘A’ may not move for two (2) years unless movement is a promotion within the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal instructions, and should be able to comprehend simple to very detailed schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and the ability to setup and operate more complex equipment.

  • Must be able to troubleshoot problems and make repairs in the areas of his specialties either from experience or with the aid of manuals, wiring diagrams, etc.

  • May be required to use basic shop math, including fractions and/or decimals

  • Must have a high degree of manual dexterity and be electrically inclined.

  • Using Computers (entering information, etc.)

  • Repair diagnose equipment in plant.

  • Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision.

  • Must be able to maintain expected quality levels.

  • Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Selects proper tools and parts with the aid of blueprints, schematics, or diagrams - - when available.

  • Uses a variety of testing devices such as leak detectors and electrical instruments.

  • Maintains department in clean and orderly manner and cleans around area where equipment was repaired in a production department.

  • Assist in training new employees and trainees, as assigned.

  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment.

  • Complies with all NEC electrical codes rules.

  • Works Overtime when needed.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.

  • Requires wearing safety glasses, flame retardant clothing, earplugs, Metal tarsal shoes, Hard Hats, Respirator, Caustic Suit and other department specified PPE

  • Report all job-related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).

  • Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.

  • Attend all EHS training.

  • Fall Control

  • Confined Space Entry

  • Machine Guarding

  • Flammable/Combustible Liquids & Compressed Gases

  • Hazardous energy sources (LTV)

  • Electrical

  • Equipment Used:

  • Robots

  • Aerial Lift

  • Fork Truck

  • Pallet Jack

  • Maintenance equipment, tools, and testing devices.

  • Training:

  • Additional trade training in the mechanical field is beneficial.

  • Work Environment: (Chemical and Physical Exposures)

  • Exposure to Nickel, Heat, KOH and RCF.

  • May be exposed to noise, oil, dust, fumes, chemicals, heat, cold, or wetness.

  • Some exposure to changes in seasonal temperatures.

MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Audiogram

  • Vision

  • Heat Stress

  • Mobile Equipment

  • CPR/FA Certified

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • 3 years experience.

  • Valid Journeyman's License.

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Basic Computer skills.

  • Prefer to have working knowledge of plant equipment, its operation, and how to repair

  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes (NEC).
