TheNursing Coordinatorexists to provide supervision and support to the Northern Nevada HOPES nursing staff in order to ensure the delivery of excellent care to HOPES patients.

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, theNursing Coordinatoris a crucial member of the clinical team and is responsible for the direct management of the daily workload of the Nursing team, including Clinic Registered Nurses (RNs), Ryan White RN, and Clinic Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). The Nursing Coordinator position is to establish the standard for nursing practice at Northern Nevada HOPES, to ensure that nurses are technically competent in their positions, are receiving adequate reviews, support and feedback to ensure a high standard of practice. The Nursing Coordinator functions as a vital liaison to link the sharing of information between management and providers within the clinic environment. HOPES has a progressive and integrated team model approach to patient care and this role actively participates in organizational wide Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) activities. This includes a commitment to enhance and advocate that our patient care experience is centered in quality improvement initiatives and ensuring staff are acquainted with these processes in their delivery of patient care. As quality and risk management are every employee's responsibility, the Nursing Coordinator is required to uphold all standards and policies, and participate in quality improvement and risk identification/mitigation processes and meetings within scope.

The mission of all FQHCs is to provide excellent health care services to otherwise under-served populations. We accept most insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare, and the uninsured. For the uninsured, we offer discounted services based on a sliding fee scale. We area National Health Service Corp site, and our providers are eligible to apply toward a federal loan forgiveness program.Clinichereto apply to theNurse Corps Loan Repayment Program.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

*Due to real and potential conflicts of interest that exist when HOPES Behavioral Health providers render services to their coworkers, it is HOPES' policy (Policy HR0005) that HOPES employees may not access HOPES Behavioral Health Services. For the same reason, current Behavioral Health patients/clients cannot be employed by HOPES. Accordingly, you hereby acknowledge and understand that if you are receiving services from a HOPES Behavioral Health provider at the time you are offered and accept employment with HOPES, you have the option of rescinding your acceptance of employment or finding a new behavioral health provider outside of HOPES before starting employment with HOPES.

RN license in the State of Nevada in good standing required.

A minimum of 2 years as a Registered Nurse required
