Tatum by Randstad is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join an established gaming manufacturing company. The cost accountant will be responsible for analyzing, auditing, and managing the costs associated with manufacturing, inventory fixed/variable costs management. This role will also include monitoring expenses, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to assist management in making informed decisions to improve cost efficiency and profitability.

This is an immediate need and is a Direct Hire opportunity for the right candidate.

Compensation range for the position is between $90K - $110K depending on experience.

This position is primarily remote within specified guidelines currently in place. However, the role necessitates periodic in-office attendance, specifically during monthly, quarterly, and year-end inventory counts.

Preference will be given to candidates based in Las Vegas. For exceptionally qualified candidates, relocation assistance is available.

responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain standard bill of material, labor, and overhead costs.

• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

• Gather and compile cost information and maintain database concerning expenses.

• Review and adjust inventory reserves in accordance with accounting policies.

• Prepare periodic reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements related to cost performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and finance, to gather relevant data and insights.

• Provide recommendations to management for cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

• Participate in inventory management activities, including inventory valuation, reconciliation, and cycle counts.

• Assist in the development of pricing strategies and cost estimation for new products or services.

• Support external audits and regulatory compliance efforts related to cost accounting and financial reporting.

• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in cost accounting and recommend adjustments to policies and procedures as needed.

qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required

• 2-3 years of inventory accounting experience is required

• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system is a strongly preferred

• Must reside in Las Vegas, NV or be able to relocate
