Smithfield Foods continues to invest in its BioScience unit and is one of the only U.S. manufacturers of Heparin Sodium USP.In Cincinnati, we have a USDA-approved and FDA-registered facility with significant expansion plans.The facility manufactures products used in cardiac surgery, dialysis procedures, blood transfusions, medical device implantation, and many other applications. This is a full-time position reporting to the General Manager. The primary responsibility will be to manage daily sales and Logistics activities related to Smithfield BioScience and Offal business. This includes sales of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Fresh Offal products. The primary responsibility will be to manage and ensure you and your team are maintaining current customer relationships and sales volumes while also assisting in developing new sales with key accounts for long-term growth. Core Responsibilities Responsible for all Sales Account Management and Logistics and responsibilities for Smithfield BioScience and other assigned areas. Considered the category expert over specific segments. Manage API & Fresh Offal shipping schedule. Develops and maintains monthly and weekly reporting for all assigned categories areas. Develop and maintain documents and information for defining pricing for APIs and Fresh Offal products. Work closely with sales and business development to coordinate the parameters and costs to support new business opportunities, as well as manage freight cost matrices for existing business. Manage the knowledge of Smithfield Bioscience's current product portfolio to increase sales and satisfy customer request. Communicate customer concerns internally for process improvement and resolution. Accountable for the coordination of trade show events. All documents, schedules, and arrangements associated. Manage the finish casing inventory with Fresh Meat. Oversee for the document and process flow of finished casing orders to make sure timelines are met. Responsible for the submission of casing orders for other Smithfield plants. Maintaining the submission of semi-casing sales schedule. Participate in all leadership meetings pertaining to BioScience and Offal products. Prepare and maintain financial and finish good reports for leadership in all assigned categories area. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. 2 + years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required.
