As a Sr. HCLS Account Manager, the candidate will be instrumental in driving digital transformation by engaging meaningfully with various stakeholders, from C-level executives to developers, across the customer's value chain. This individual will represent AWS’ entire product and service portfolio across multiple strategic accounts in the Enterprise customer segment, ensuring that customers benefit from the fastest pace of innovation, the broadest and deepest functionality, the most secure computing environment, and the most proven operational expertise.
You will be at the heart of the latest sub-industry trends like genomics, biopharma, drug discovery, and other initiatives across lines of business.
We are seeking candidates that are passionate and knowledgeable on Life Sciences, Diagnostics, Healthcare, and possess natural qualities of a self-starter and leader. Key job responsibilities
Drive revenue and market share in a defined Healthcare territory
Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets
Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan
Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services
Accelerate customer adoption
Maintain a robust sales pipeline
Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption
Manage contract negotiations
Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
Ensure customer satisfaction

About the team

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals
Experience proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customer's business
Understanding of AWS basic services and those relevant to healthcare and life sciences, such as Amazon Health Lake, Amazon Comprehend Medical, and Health Omics, etc…
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers at all levels, particularly within the C-Suite.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with various stakeholders, including sales, solutions architects, partners, specialists, and professional services.
Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and customer adoption of AWS services within the healthcare and life sciences vertical.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Biotech and/or Biopharma experience is preferred, but not a requirement.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
